Jungle locations
Verdant Canopy of Ysilar: Deep in the heart of a mist-shrouded jungle lies the Verdant Canopy of Ysilar, a sprawling network of massive trees connected by vine bridges and platforms. This ancient elven settlement is built around the Grand Sapling, a tree said to be the first planted by the elven gods, radiating powerful life magic.
Thornheart Grove: A dense thicket where the trees are alive with ancient spirits and the undergrowth hides secrets from before time. The grove is known for its protective thorns that can heal or harm, based on the intentions of those who seek its wisdom.
The Emerald Labyrinth: Deep within the dense jungle, a vast network of natural archways and intertwined vines form a maze-like structure known as the Emerald Labyrinth. This natural formation is imbued with a raw, pulsing magical energy that alters spatial perceptions, making it a challenging yet fascinating area to explore.
The Forbidden Grove: Hidden within the depths of the Verdant Canopy of Ysilar, this grove is protected by ancient magics and is home to plants and creatures not found anywhere else in the world.
Ruins of Luminara: Nestled in a secluded valley, the ancient city of Luminara now lies in ruins, its once-glowing structures dimmed and overgrown with vegetation. The city was known for its advanced use of light magic and architectural marvels.
Grassland Locations
The Plains of Eldoria: Stretching vast and wide, the Plains of Eldoria are covered in tall, waving grasses and dotted with ancient standing stones that are remnants of a long-lost elven civilization. These stones are arranged in mysterious patterns that align magically with celestial events.
Fields of Aranath: Vast fields of golden wheat that sway with a magical rhythm, seemingly dancing to an ancient tune only the wind knows. These fields are protected by charms that ensure bountiful harvests.
The Dueling Stones: A circle of tall, rune-carved stones where warriors from around the realm come to test their mettle in combat, both magical and physical, under the watchful eyes of the ancients.
The Battlefields of Sorrow's End: An expansive plain where a historic battle between the Luminae and the Umbrans took place, leaving the land tainted with residual magic and eerie, spectral phenomena. The soil sparkles faintly at night, a reminder of the spells cast and lives lost.
Coastal Locations
The Shimmering Shores of Miralae: The Shimmering Shores of Miralae are known for their sparkling sands and crystal clear waters, where the ruins of an underwater elven city can be seen during low tide. The city is rumoured to still be inhabited by the descendants of its original dwellers, now adapted to the marine environment.
Nala’thar Depths: A secluded cove with waters reflecting myriad shades of turquoise and sand as white as pearls. The cove is a haven for sea sprites and merfolk, who are often willing to trade or share knowledge. Nala’thar, a city inhabited by merfolk, is sprawled along the seabed off from the shore.
Coralgate Reef: A vibrant coral reef teeming with magical marine life, where the corals glow at night with arcane energy, and the sea creatures guard ancient secrets.
Swamp locations
Memorum Marshes: A haunting swampy bog within the Morn Arcanum, littered with half-buried relics of ancient arcane technology and elven-influenced weapons. These remnants, entwined with roots and shrouded in mist, still faintly glow with residual magic, creating a mystical and eerie atmosphere.
The Nocturne Bog: Shrouded in a perpetual twilight, this swamp is known for its thick mists and the luminescent fungi that light up the dark waters. The bog is a quiet, mysterious place where the sounds of the wildlife are muffled by the dense fog.
Serpent's Coil Basin: A winding swamp that resembles a coiled serpent from above, known for its dangerously enchanting beauty and the myriad of creatures it supports, some known only in myths.
Mountain Locations
The Aethros Ranges: The towering mountain range that forms a natural barrier between the Morn Arcanum and the Varisian Empire. The ancient Umbran fortress the Sentinel Rest can be found in the peaks, and are home to creatures that feed from the latent magic in the area, reaching as far as the Battlefield of Sorrow’s End. The immense Dwarven city of Arukh, home to mountain dwarves who dig deep into the ranges.
The Sentinel’s Rest: An ancient fortress built into the mountainside, its walls and towers carved from the living rock, guarded by stone golems that have protected the fortress for centuries. Deep within the fortress is a passageway that leads deep into the Underdark, and is rumoured to extend as far as the Umbral Depths.
The Astral Vista: A breathtaking lookout point at the highest accessible peak, where the skies open up to the cosmos, providing a clear view of the astral alignments and celestial bodies. Arcane runes and platforms have been established by astrologers, reading the magic of the stars and harnessing their powers.
The Zyrrinth’s Pinnacle: Towering high above the land in the western reaches of the Aethros Ranges, the Zyrrinth’s Pinnacle is a snow capped peak shrouded in clouds. Ancient forges and large caverns forming a network of rooms once used by elven smiths, still burn with magical fires that are said to be fueled by the stars themselves.
The Vault of the Arcanist: Hidden beneath the jagged peaks near Luminary’s Haven, this sealed vault was constructed to secure the most volatile and powerful arcane artifacts collected Luminae. Its doors are reinforced with ancient runes and protective spells, designed to contain the immense energies within. The Morn Arcanum have attempted to gain access to the vault, but have been unable to make it past the multiple layers of doors and traps.
The Starlit Falls: In the northern reaches of the Morn Arcanum, this cascading waterfall glimmers under the night sky, reflecting starlight in a myriad of colors. The falls are rumored to be blessed by celestial beings.
