Its inhabitants are adept at elemental magic, and the city is a hub for airship travel, serving as a gateway for adventurers and scholars seeking to traverse the skies or venture into other planes.

Population.

Zephyr’s Crest is perched at high altitudes, often cloaked in moving mists and powerful winds, where its population of approximately 13,000 are well-adapted to the unique environmental conditions.

Races.

  • Elves (60%): Known for their affinity with elemental magic, these elves have deep roots in the study and manipulation of air currents.

  • Sylphs (20%): Air spirits that naturally mesh with the city’s ethos, contributing their innate abilities to control and enhance air magic.

  • Humans (20%): Often adventurers or merchants, these individuals are typically hearty souls drawn to the city for its dynamic air magic and opportunities in trade and travel.

Government.

A governing body made up of elected representatives from each major racial group and faction, called the Windlord Assembly. This assembly prioritizes the advancement of air magic, city safety, and the facilitation of airship commerce. As a gateway to the Morn Arcanum, there is also a large focus on publicity through events and festivals of the wind.

Factions.

  • Zephyr Blades: This guild consists of elite warriors who are not only city defenders but also performers, demonstrating their mastery in manipulating air currents in battle through high-speed maneuvers and aerial combat techniques.

  • Aeromancers' Conclave: Comprised of the most skilled air mages, this scholarly group researches and develops new applications of air magic, from weather control to airship enhancements.

  • Stormwatch: This iconic structure is equipped with sophisticated magical instruments to monitor atmospheric conditions. It is crucial for predicting weather changes and magical storms that could affect the city and surrounding areas. The spire serves as both a meteorological station and a training ground for storm mages.

  • The Gale Courts: These outdoor arenas are not only venues for sports and entertainment but also serve as testing grounds for new air magic spells and artifacts. Competitions here range from friendly duels to high-stakes tournaments that attract visitors from distant lands.

Crystalline Ford is a smaller city of 10,000 residents located in a region rich with magical crystal formations, making it a vital center for crystal-based magic and technology.

  • Gnomes (20%): Skilled engineers and artisans, instrumental in the city’s innovations related to crystal technology.

Government.

A governing body composed of leaders from major factions and influential families who have a deep understanding of crystal magic and its applications, led by the eccentric Gnomish artificer Vixyl Vaxilkrynn. They oversee all aspects of civic life, ensuring that the city’s resources are used wisely and sustainably, and lead the greater applications of the crystal magic for the Morn Arcanum.

Spread across wide, open grasslands with shifting winds, Windwhisper Plains serves as the breadbasket of the Morn Arcanum, its fertile lands yielding crops enchanted to flourish. Here, agriculture meets magic, producing sustenance that bolsters health and magical prowess. The city at its heard, Telwynnor Veld, is a small hub for the study of elemental air magic and earth magic, drawing scholars who seek to understand the arcane secrets carried on the wind or the enriching elements found in the fertile soil.

Population.

The Whisperwind Plains is dispersed with small villages, settlements and farming communities, making up a large portion of the regions overall population. The city itself, Telwynnor Veld, hosts a population of 13,000 residents.

Races.

  • Elves (40%): Skilled in magic and farming techniques that enhance crop yields.

  • Halflings (20%): Forming small communities within the Plains and grow various unique crops.

  • Humans (20%): Engaged in various agricultural and trade activities.

  • Centaurs (10%): Native to the area, the tribes roam the plains protecting the farming communities from attack.

  • Other (10%): Includes various magical beings who bring unique skills and perspectives to the community.

Government.

The Elected Agrarian Council manages the city’s extensive agricultural operations, ensuring that practices are sustainable and beneficial for all community members. They constantly seek advice and news from the Centaur Tribes who roam the plains, of which a representative is a member of the council.



Factions.

  • The Harvesters' Guild: Responsible for implementing innovative farming techniques and overseeing the cultivation of magical and non-magical crops, ensuring food security and prosperity.

  • Wind Riders: A guild of adept messengers and scouts, utilizing the plains' strong winds for rapid travel and communication across the vast fields.

  • Centaur Tribes: A number of nomadic tribes native to the Whisperwind Plains. They have reached an agreement with the Morn Arcanum, and protect the communities in exchange for resources and citizenship.

Key Locations.

  • Skyseed Meadows: The agricultural heart of Windwhisper Plains, utilizes advanced elemental magic to optimize crop growth. This sprawling area serves as both the primary food source and a research ground for developing resilient crop strains, combining traditional farming with magical enhancement to achieve superior yields and nutritional value.

  • Windmill Circle: Featuring several ancient windmills, this essential facility not only grinds grain but also harnesses wind energy to power various magical and mechanical operations throughout the city.
